I a proud to announce the launch of Time 2 reThINK, my personal site dedicated to all things that inspire me. I hope they inspire you as well, make you think, and reTHINK.

Raymond in 100 words or less:

Raymond Gabler is a father, family man, volunteer,  and active member in the Columbia MD community. He loves working in the information security field, where he has been working for over 15 years. To keep fit, he is an active in Martial Arts and is currently taking  (and teaching) Krav Maga and father-son Tae Kwan Do.

MY BIO

As the Manager of Legg Mason’s Security Engineering and Operations (SEO) team, Raymond Gabler is responsible for ensuring that Legg Mason’s security risk posture meets or exceeds the requirements put forth in International, Federal, and local legislation and regulations. The SEO team designs, deploys (engineering), and maintains (operations) all new security controls within the Legg Mason infrastructure, to include setting up anti-spam/virus controls, centralized log management, IDS monitoring, and integrated identity account management.  Throughout his over fifteen years of security experience, Raymond has become a subject matter expert on many security technologies and is able to leverage that to lead the SEO team, both from a project management as well as technical perspective. Outside of work, Mr. Gabler is an avid community leader holding positions on several neighborhood committees. Additionally, he stays active by taking martial arts and is currently a level 5 Krav Maga student and phase A certified instructor.

Prior to Legg Mason, Mr. Gabler was a security engineer at several consulting firms ranging from small security boutiques to large government contractors.

Mr. Gabler is a graduate of University of Maryland Baltimore County, UMBC, holding a BS in Applied Physics.
